This is a tribute to the versatile, athlete – coach – administrator late Mr. Dervin Perera who was one of my college friends also. In 1974 November a 25 member strong C.T & G.C (Ceylonese track & field club) team with more than 15 national champions toured India for a competition on an invitation by the Deccan athletic club.
